2nd SRG trend survey on federal referendum of 13 June 2021

02.06.2021 | gfs.bern on behalf of SRG SSR

Voter turnout approx. 52% | 1 x No, 3 x Yes.

If the vote had already been held on 22 May 2021, the drinking water and pesticide initiatives would have been rejected. The Covid Act, the CO2 Act and the Terrorism Act would have been adopted. The position of the authorities would thus have prevailed in all the referenda on 13 June 2021.

In the main phase of the referendum campaign, all five proposals experienced a polarisation of opinion towards the No vote. In the case of the two initiatives, a solid “No” trend is emerging, the majorities have tipped. The three proposals submitted by the authorities continue to enjoy majority support.

The turnout would have been an above-average 52 percent. It was already high in the first SRG referendum, but did not increase further during the campaign.

In the Cockpit (in French and German), in addition to the results in the overview, you will also find background information on the proposals for 13 June 2021 and on the theory and method of the SRG referendum survey.
