Worry Barometer 2021: in the second phase of the pandemic

25.11.2021 | gfs.bern on behalf of Credit Suisse

The country’s greatest challenges in the eyes of Swiss voters are currently the coronavirus pandemic and its consequences, environmental protection and climate change, and old-age pensions.  The proportion of people who rank either climate, coronavirus or old-age pensions among the five biggest problems is exactly the same, to within one percentage point.

gfs.bern conducted the Worry Barometer 2021 survey on behalf of Credit Suisse. The Corona pandemic, environmental protection/climate change and old-age provision dominate the world of worries and are at the top of the list as a trio of worries. Classic worry topics such as migration or unemployment are of less concern. Questions about social justice are in vogue.

This year’s ten main concerns in the trend since 2006

The annual study to record and monitor the opinions of Swiss voters has been in existence since 1976 and has been conducted by gfs.bern since 1995. All information can be found in the final report (in German).
