The transition barometer examines the situation of young people at the first transition to upper-secondary level and the situation of apprenticeship providers in spring and summer of each year. The barometer shows in real time whether there are specific challenges for the Confederation, the cantons and the economy.
The results of the August 2021 transition barometer
- 48 % of young people have started a VET programme, 40 % have taken the general education route
- 88% of the apprenticeship places offered were filled
