Orientation and transparency in business decisions
gfs.insights is a tool developed by gfs.bern that collects and evaluates the current situation of a specific topic among members of associations or interest groups. Based on this data, all participants receive an individual benchmark report. This report compares their answers with the overall situation and shows them specific options for action.
The associations or interest groups that commissioned the study also receive a detailed report on the current situation and an online tool. This tool can be used to simulate and evaluate potential decisions – even for members who did not participate in the study. gfs.insights thus provides guidance and transparency for business decisions.
For our clients, the tool is an excellent way to stay in touch with their members and add real value. The individual benchmark motivates participation and, in our experience, leads to a significantly higher response rate.
"Few law firms will be able to ignore digitalisation. This makes it all the more valuable that a large number of firms have disclosed anonymously their digital costs in the survey. This means that all law firms can benefit from the collective experience - and plan their digitalisation steps and costs based on data."
‘Digital” mode is catching on in law firms
A recent study carried out by gfs.bern on behalf of the Swiss Bar Association examined digitalisation and the associated costs in law firms. The results are clear: law firms that are already highly digitised see significant benefits and prioritise further investment.
The study highlights
- Challenges in terms of costs and acceptance of digitisation
- Frequently used digital tools and their benefits
- Preferences: hybrid, digital or analogue –
- Law firm cost calculator for digitisation costs
"We have a representative study of Swiss law firms. Different law firms from all regions and with different specialisations took part. This means that the results are meaningful for law firms of almost any size, location and specialisation".
gfs.insights investigates the current situation with regard to specific social and business issues, such as the degree of digitalisation or different working time models. The quantitative survey is targeted at members of associations or interest groups. All participating members receive an individual benchmark report after completing the survey. This report compares their situation with the total of all responses and provides sound data for business decisions.
For associations or interest groups, gfs.insights is another way to stay in touch with their members. They offer innovative added value and thus strengthen the position of the association or interest group.
"Associations need to create clear added value to justify their membership fees."
